President
Marc Effron
Marc founded the Talent Strategy Group and advises the world’s premier companies, governments, foundations, NGOs and not-for-profit organizations. He is regarded as a trusted counselor to organizations on their most sensitive talent issues.
He co-founded the Talent Management Institute, now the world's most popular executive education program on talent with 7,000+ graduates. He co-authored the Harvard Business Review Publishing best-seller One Page Talent Management and 8 Steps to High Performance. His prior corporate experience includes executive HR roles at Bank of America and Avon Products. His prior consulting experience includes starting and leading the Global Leadership Consulting practice at Aon/Hewitt.

Chief Operating Officer
Zac Upchurch
Zac joined the Talent Strategy Group in 2016 and now directs the daily operations of the firm, including strategy, planning and finance, across all of TSG businesses. Zac also leads the firm's relationships with premier clients globally and consults with select clients worldwide. Prior to this role, Zac managed strategy and growth for a global corporation and worked in the public sector as a speechwriter and political consultant for Congressional and State campaigns. Zac's work resulted in an award from the State of Arizona for outstanding service to the State. He is passionate about people, and what makes a person or company exceptional.
Zac graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelors of Science in Economics.
APAC Representative
Peter Attfield
Peter Attfield is a strategic HR thought partner and “pracademic” with a proven global track record in senior level Business Partnering and HR Expertise leadership across multiple sectors and geographies. Most recently, he was the Chief Talent & Learning Officer for Jardine Matheson based in Hong Kong from 2018 to 2024. He is now the Managing Director of The Inflection Point, an IMD Executive in Residence and member of the Advisory Board Centre.
He has deep expertise, and nearly four decades of experience in large-scale organisation and culture transformation, strategic talent management and leadership development. Additionally, he has significant experience in building HR functional excellence in both MNC’s and large regional family-owned businesses.
Peter is a truly global citizen - with the cultural awareness and adaptability that brings. He has lived in 10 countries and worked in, or visited, some 85 others with significant emerging markets experience in Latin America, Asia and the Middle East.
OPTM360 Director
Beth Ann Murray
Beth Ann Murray is the OPTM360 Director for The Talent Strategy Group. Since it’s inception in 2010, Beth Ann has overseen the development and continuous improvement of our proprietary, web-based software program for 360° feedback – the OPTM360. Acutely client-focused, she builds and maintains strong customer relationships, going the extra mile in all aspects of sales, training and survey administration.
Beth Ann holds a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a Bachelors of Arts in Human Resources from King’s College.
Marketing Lead
Annarose Heilferty
Annarose Heilferty recently joined the Talent Strategy Group as our Marketing Lead. Annarose is responsible for planning, creating, and executing marketing campaigns and materials. Annarose leads our marketing efforts with the ultimate goal of informing and educating the worldwide population about how to build better talent faster. Prior to this role, Annarose led the marketing efforts and managed all web and social media outlets for a large consulting firm and also worked in web design for many years. Annarose graduated Summa Cum Laude from Fairfield University with a Bachelors of Arts in Politics, a Bachelors of Arts in International Studies, and a minor in Peace and Justice Studies.
Associate Consultant
Chloe Kuhlman
Chloe Kuhlman recently joined the Talent Strategy Group as our Associate Consultant. Chloe is responsible for assisting in Talent Strategy creation and Talent Management process design and implementation for TSG’s client engagements. Chloe aids in pushing forward TSG’s goal of solving challenging human resources and talent problems in some of the world’s leading organizations. In addition to this role, Chloe is an undergraduate psychology professor and avid organizational psychology researcher and writer. Chloe graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in Organizational Psychology.
